A letter Oz Shel Torah against the Agudah, by the Rebbe Rayatz Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn of Lubavitch. No year or place of printing appears in the booklet, in the Vinograd-Rosenfeld CD-ROM it is written that it was printed in Poland, 1922, and in the CD-ROM of the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book is written that it was printed in Munkacs? circa 1930. The booklet contains “An open letter to the “Moatzei HaTorah” in the country of Poland…and especially to… the Rebbe… of Gur and to… the Rebbe…of Radzin…” and another short letter. Against the “Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah” of Agudat Yisrael in Poland, against the “Yesodei HaTorah” educational chain and against “Keren Eretz Yisrael” whose purpose was to settle religious Jews in Israel. 16 pages, 21 cm. Stains and wear. Good overall condition. Bound together with the additional books: 1. Commentary on the 13 middot sh’Hatorah nidresheshet bahem by Rabbi Sa’adya Gaon, with comments and corrections and source references by Rabbi Chaim Yehuda Ehrenreich, Klausenburg, 1922. 2. Pirkei Avot with the commentary Zeroa Yamin by the Chida, and the prayer of Eliyahu HaNavi and a techina recited in the Land of Israel, Satmar, Romania, 1937. 3. Sefer Teshuvot Beit Hillel, part one, tractate Halachot Ketanot by Rabbi Hillel Lichtenstein, Satmar, 1908 (title page and first 2 leaves are detached, last 2 leaves are missing). 4. The book Pri Chemed on Borchi Nafshi and the 15 Shir HaMa’a lot with the commentary Shoshanei Chemed by Rabbi Moshe David Friedman, Seini, S. Varhal, Romania. 1933. 5. Sefer Charash Even on the Torah (Booklet Mesaper Charash V’Choshev) by Rabbi Moshe Taub, Margahita, Romania, 1932. 6-7. The Torani monthly journal ‘HaMa’ayan’, articles about halacha and Aggadah from the teachings of the Chatam Sofer published by the Union of the Students of the Pressburg Yeshiva. Year three, booklet one, as well as year 3, booklet 2. In the printing press of Lipman HaCohen Katzburg, Tirnoi (Slovakia). Inside the books are ownership stamps “Mordechai Yehuda Shlomo Zalman Av Beit Din of Arad” “Chaim Aryeh Kahana Timisoara.” All the books are bound together in a slightly blemished binding without the spine, moth holes on the binding and the first leaves. Stains and wear. Good overall condition.
