Lot 333:
A very long letter, two pages with cramped handwriting, with his Torah novaelle on blowing the Shofar. Rabbi Nachman Shmuel Yaakov Meudser [died on 3 Nissan 1948]. Born in Poland to a Chassidic family, a scion of Rabbi Yehonatan Eybeschutz. Studied from the Rebbes: of Socatchov – author of the Avnei Nezer [who even mentions him in his book Avnei Nezer Yoreh Deah 398] and from Ostrovatza. Ordained as Rabbi by the great Rabbis of Poland, including Rabbi Avraham of Porisov. Severed as Rabbi of Brak in Poland. After he immigrated to Israel he served as Rabbi of Bnei Brak between the years 1931-1934. In 1932 he hosted the Rebbe of Gur Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Alter during his visit to Bnei Brak, with his sons Rabbi Yisrael and Rabbi Simcha Bunim and his son-in-law Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Levin. The Rebbe held his reception for his followers in Rabbi Meudser’s house. When the Chazon Ish came to Bnei Brak in 1933 he stayed in Rabbi Meudser’s house until he moved into his own apartment.
