Sefer ‘Akeidat Yitzchak’, by Rabbi Yitzchak son of Arama. Lemberg, 1868. On the title page is the handwritten signature of Rabbi Avraham Menachem Manish Sofer, an important, famous and Godfearing scribe from Sighet, the Rebbes of the Vizhnitz dynasty bought their ritual items from things he had written. He was the scribe of and had a close relationship with the Rebbe author of the ‘Ahavat Yisrael’ of Vizhnitz, and was even invited to Grosswardein to write a Torah scroll for him. The Rebbe of Satmar, author of the ‘Beirach Moshe’ used to relate that his father, author of the ‘Atzei Chaim’ ordered Tefillin for him from Rabbi Manish Sofer. [13], 18-293 leaves. 22 cm. Magnificent original leather binding with embossing. Wear on the spine. Several leaves are detached. Overall condition: Good – very good.
