From 22nd of Tammuz, 1923, on graph paper, a letter to Rabbi Dover Abramowitz, the rosh yeshiva of Rav Yitzhak Elhanan in the US, about receipts for donations that he transferred for various institutions in Tiberas. | Rabbi Moshe Kliers (1876-1934) was Ra’avad of Tiberias and an important member of Slonim chassidut. Founded the Or Torah yeshiva in the city, next to the grave of Rabbi Meir ba’al HaNes. The yeshiva’s students would stay in the yeshiva all week and only return home for shabbat, so that the familial burden wouldn’t fall on them, and he would act likewise. Rav Dov be’er Aryeh Abramowitz (1865-1926) was a rabbi and head of an American yeshiva, of a Lithuanian background. Also helped to found the Rabbinical Council of the US and Canada. | Signs of folding, a folded sheet of paper for the letter. | 28x20cm. Very good condition.
