Lot 321:
On both sides, on lined paper. From 1949. To his friend Dr. Hillel Mendele, rabbi of Leeds in England. Interesting letter on the complex relationship between charedim and the Jewish Agency. He lived 1880-1966, and was known as the Rav of Lotzk, was Av Beit Din there (in Ukraine) before the Shoah. Studied at the Slobodka, Volozhin, and Telz yeshivas. Moved to Israel in 1940. Served as head of the Council of Torah Sages, head o the Independent Education, and among the heads of the yeshiva council. Given in the posted envelope that it was originally sent in. Signs of folding, 13x20cm. Generally very good condition.
