A rare book, Yiddish edition on the “Jewish Street” of Vilna. 65 pictures from M. Vorobeitchik (Moshe Varobitzik [Raviv]). The pictures chronicle Jewish life in Vilna, with explanations in Yiddish and German, including the Gra’s Beit Midrash (outside and inside), the Strashun Library, the market, houses, and stores. Long introduction in Yiddish and German by Zalman Shneor. Additional title page in German. Photograph binding in Yiddish and German. Published by Arel Pisli, Zurich-Leipzig 1931. Well-preserved, good condition.
Blank front page has a dedication dated to 1933: “In memory from the Jerusalem of Lithuania and from …Chanoch Pishkes.”
