Wonderful illustration of a grandfather helping a boy to put on tefillin when he reaches his bar mitzvah. 50x40cm, very good condition. Victor Brindatch (born 1941) is a Jewish-Russian artist, who resides and works in Israel today. He is a member of the Artists’ and Sculptors’ Guild of Israel, and used to be a member of the Plastic Artists’ Guild in the USSR. His work draws much from daily life and the Israeli mentality, Jewish folklore and the changing situation in the country. In his paintings he describes most of the current political issues, among his works depicting situations and events related to Jews in Israel and around the world: paintings and celebrations, soldiers and battles of European Jews. His work fills many exhibitions in Israel and around the world, due to his unique style that earned him a place of honor among the artists of our generation.
