Letter handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Haim Pinchas Sheinberg, on official letterhead of the Torah Or yeshiva of Kiryat Mattersdorf, Jerusalem, from the 4th of Sivan, 1985. A warm letter of endorsement for the book "Minchat Cohen" about masechet Kritut compiled by the Hasidic Kabbalist Rabbi Mordechai Moshe HaKohen Karpman of Jerusalem. Rabbi notes at the beginning of his remarks, "While I do not usually give endorsements, I will not refrain from expressing my views here in looking at the leaves (pages) which are clearly the fruits of hard labour, tremendous achievement and honest understanding. And so the Rav continues to recommend warmly the author and his book, and conclude with his blessing "yishar koach and may he merit many years to provide innovations in the Torah and increase the Torah and its glory, in health and peace in everything that he does,” and he signs “Haim Pinchas Sheinberg". Dimensions 17×25 cm. No folding marks and no defects, excellent condition. Rabbi Chaim Pinchas Sheinberg (1910-2012) was head of the Torah Or Yeshiva, a halachic arbiter – rabbi of Kiryat Matersdorf in Jerusalem and a member of the Council of Torah Sages. At the end of his life, he was known as the "Elder of the Yeshivot." He got smicha from Rabbi Baruch Ber Leibowitz, Rabbi Moshe Soloveitchik, and from Rabbi Dr. Dov (Bernard) Ravel, and many others. He dealt with Rabbi Aryeh Leib Heller’s teachings and wrote essays on all his books. He was a great ‘mehader’ of the mitzvah of tzitzit and used to wear over 18 sets of tzitzit with various compilations and methods.
