A amulet for keeping newborn boys safe. Written in a uniform, handsome Italian script, by Rabbi Shlomo Michael Yona of Turin, three small holes, apart from that in good condition. Dimensions 19x25cm. Rabbi Isaiah Hezekiah Shlomo Michael Yona of Turin, one of the geniuses of Italian rabbis in the 18th century. He first sat in Alessandria, Italy and received his Torah from Rabbi Eliyahu Halevi. When HaHida arrived they became close friends. Subsequently, he was appointed to the city of Turin and from there he exchanged letters of friendship and appreciation with HaHida. One of his letters is a special song of fame written in honor of the HaHida, which he calls himself “a young man among the youngest of his students.” The HaHida also appreciated and wrote with extreme kindness.
