Sefer Hapliah on the book of Bereishit, which is Sefer Hakaneh. A book of kabbalah by Rabbi Avigdor Kara of Prague. The book is known as a book that is a segulah for those who have it in their homes. Approbations in this edition of the book are the source for the chassidic tradition about the great segulah of having this book in the house. The Rebbe Rabbi Aharon Halberstam of Sanz, son of the Divrei Chaim and his successor as rabbi of Sanz writes in his approbation: “That it was known that it can bring blessing to the home.” In the approbation of the Rebbe of Husiyatin is written that “There is no doubt that anyone who takes this holy book, will be protected in his house.” The Rebbe Uri Hacohen of Sambor writes modestly in his approbation: “…And even though I understand nothing from the holy book, it is worthwhile to take the Sefer Hapliah to see the holy letters of this book…to enlighten us in his holy Torah, to understand a little of this book.” In the printing press Zupnik, Knoller and Hammerschmidt, Prezmyl, 1883. [4], 85, 74, [4] leaves. 26 cm. Old and faded binding. A few worming holes. Stains and slight tears. Very good overall condition.
