Letter handwritten and signed on official letterhead of the Admor Rabbi Chanoch Dov Silberfarb of Koidinov- Botoşani (Tel Aviv). From Kislev of 1953. Addressed to the Raf Taubenhaus, Haifa. He asks the recipient to take care of a technical issue for him, and then invites him to his young daughter Tzipora’s wedding “may they be blessed with a life of nachat and may hashem gather up all of Israel for good, Chanoch Dov Silberfarb ben Rahak Avdak of Toporov hy”d. Size: 28x21cm. Light stains, folding creases, overall good condition.
The admor Rabbi Chanoch Dov Silberfarb (1890-1978), son of Rabbi Meshulam Zalman Joseph, was born and raised in Cebu Koidinov. Later he moved Ltofrov where his father was appointed as a rabbi. Like his father, was also a close associate of Belz. Was named the Admor city Botoşani Romania rather than in-law Rabbi Moshe Msulitza. During the Holocaust has worked on behalf of refugees from Poland who came to Romania. Immigrated to Israel and settled in Tel Aviv. Hasidic Beit Midrash was established on Dizengoff Street.
