A rare and unique Chassidic book never seen before in auctions, Avodat HaGershoni: “a wonderful work of drashim…from the holy mouth of the Gaon Chassid, famous in Kadisha chasida u’prisha, Gershon…Av Beit Din in Kolomiya”. A chassidic work on the Torah by the son-in-law of the Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Kasov (the Ahavat Shalom), brought to publication by his widow the Rabbanit Sarah Leah bat HaAhavat Shalom, who unfortunately didn’t have children by him and therefore the rabbanit tried endlessly to have the book published so that his name would be passed on in some fashion.

The book is decorated by approbations of the Divrei Haim of Sanz, the brothers the Admor Rabbi Yaakov Shimshon of Kasov and Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vizhnitz (the Tzemach Tzadik)—the sons of the author’s brother-in-law the Admor Rabbi Haim the Torat Haim of Kasov. First edition. Stefanski Chassidut 448. [2], 107, 86, [1] leaves. Stains. Tape on the title page and around 20 additional pages, mainly in the bottom corners of the book. In a number of pages the text is affected. Otherwise in good condition.
