Buyer's premium:

Four volumes containing all 9 sections of the Siddur HaRashash (a kabbalistic siddur), printed for the first time “and printed in holiness with tevilah and tahara”, prayers for chol, shabbat, and moadim. With kabbalistic kavanot throughout and various spellings of Hashem’s holy names based in mystical sources for most of the prayers, “by Rabbi Shalom Sharabi…a siddur of true kavanot throughout the prayers…this section was published with great awakening by the sages of Shaar HaShamayim yeshiva..”. Excited approbations from kabbalistic sages of the period including the Admor of Munkatch Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Shapira (the Darchei Tshuva), who wrote: “take this siddur in happiness, and take a blessing into your homes and for those with no wisdom this will awaken him and advise him to good and will be for wonderful preservation…”. [4], 139, 5-161 (-the beginning is, it seems, complete, but this numbering is how it appears in the original, see the National Library and Stefanski), 36, 115, 44, 12, 21, 99, 60-63, [1], 69 leaves. The ninth section is accidentally bound in Volume 3. Stefanski Sifrei Yesod 427. Pretty bindings with golden inscriptions, worn, stains and signs of use, bookmarks in each volume, 4 volumes in excellent condition.

The back of the binding of Section 1 has an important signature: “Ephraim Shmuel Lerner.” The back of all the bindings has the signature: “Alter Becher Kohen.”

Rabbi Ephraim Shmuel Lerner (1879-1962) was the son of Rabbi Mordechai, he served as rosh yeshiva of the Ashkenazi kabbalistic yeshiva Sha’ar HaShamayim in Jerusalem, was a founder of the Sha’arei Chesed neighborhood there, and founded the Gra synagogue there and served there as chazan for many years.
