Buyer's premium:

Pronouncement from Admor Rabbi Yisrael Hager of Vizhnitz, author of the Ahavas Yisrael, on the organizing of communities in Israel “after I was told that on the basis of the new Law on Communities in Israel the opportunity was given to our Haredi brothers to unite into a unique community! Which leads itself…the holy duty falls upon us to unite into a unique community based on the holy foundations and not, chas v’, into the community of the National Committee.”

This pronouncement was printed as part of the long and stubborn conflict carried out by members of Agudas Yisrael (which was still united with the Eida Charedit then) to be released from the control of the National (Secular) Committee, until the Mandate government finally allowed them to associate as a separate community, with separate taxes and administration with the British.
