Lot 199:
Chassidic droshim on the Torah and moadim by the Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Rimnov, written by his student Rabbi Yehezkel Panet, the head of the Desh dynasty (the Mar’eh Yehezkel). The Rahak of Rimnov never wrote his divrei torah—those that remain are those that were written down here in this book by the Rahak of Desh (see the letter printed in Mar’eh Yehezkel 60, 104). This book is one of the most prominent early works of chassidut. Printed in Lemberg in the same format as the Chernowitz edition. 64 leaves. This edition has an approbation from Rabbi Yitzhak Shimshon Horwitz-Meizlish, Av Beit Din of Chernowitz. Detached cardboard cover, stains, overall good condition.
The title page has a signature: “I hereby acknowledge this book the holy Alexander Yom Tov Lifa ben Rabbi Moshe.” One note in the body of the work.
This book is considered a segula for livelihood. The work “HaChochmah Me’Ein” writes in the name of the Yeitev Lev’s grandson (Rabbi Yitzhak Horowitz of Stotchin): “Most of the work Menachem Zion from the Rahak of Rimnov delves into the Parshat HaMan (the Rahak of Desh already wrote that in his introduction: “22 years he would give a drash on the Parshat HaMan), since the Holy Rabbi of Rimnov would pray for parnasa for all of Israel.” It is also well-known as a segula to say the Parshat HaMan from the takana of Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Rimnov from the Tuesday of Parshat Beshalach, and many do indeed say it.
In another edition of the work the idea is mentioned in the approbation of the Yeitev Lev of Sighet: “Anyone who buys this holy book will have manna from the Heavens, filled with blessings and success.” Also the approbation of Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Desh: “Especially since it is known that the Admor said that divrei torah on parshat haman would influence the Jewish people for the better, and may Hashem awaken to the merit of the Admor to provide us and the entire Jewish people with blessings.”
