Lot 180:
Sidduro Shel Shabbat, a foundational Chassidic work on the kedusha of Shabbos and the proper preparation for it, by Rabbeinu Haim (Tirrer), Av Beit Din of Chernowitz and author of the Beer Mayim Chaim. This book is the first work by the author and the only one published by him during his lifetime before his move to Israel. It is a foundational work of chassidus, printed in dozens of editions. Until today it is still widely read among chassidim ho wish to uplift their spirits with the subject of kedushat shabbat by an author for whom legend says that when he would tovel on erev Shabbos he would actually get taller. First edition, Mohalov 1813.
Stefanski Chassidut 422. First section: [6], 70, 70-108, [1] leaves. Second section: 12, 64 leaves. A number of pages are disconnected. The first title page is cut and taped onto a another page (the text cannot be seen on the other side of the title page). Some of the pages are light-blue. Light defects, tear to page 21 without damage to the text. Moth holes. Stains. Last page has a torn table of errors with damage to the text. The index pages have been swapped in the binding between the two sections.
Various notes including “belongs to the rabbi the Naggid Avraham Zelig”, stamps of “Rabbi Berl Leifer Zlov Romania”, and more. Old, detached binding. Overall good condition.
