Mussar and drashot to strengthen Torah study by Rabbi Moshe Almoshnino of Salonika, author of the work Torat Moshe. Rabbi Almoshnino was one of the most eminent rabbis of Salonika in the 19th century and he published many books.

 
The title page has the signature “Haim ben Rabbi David Tevil”, meaning Rabbi Haim Davidson, the revered Rabbi of Warsaw. He lived 1760-1854, was a student of Rabbi Yaakov of Lisa (the Netivot), was a sage of his generation, and merited living and teaching in one place. He was Rabbi of Warsaw from age 80 (in 1839) in place of the Chemdat Shlomo. He was eulogized by Rabbi Binyamin David Rabinowitz in a special book in his memory called Ruach Hayyim. He was a leader of those rabbis who supported the Polish Revol.
