The body of the case is made of wood coated entirely in silver, with decorations gilt with gold interlaid with colorful enamel work set in a wonderful diagonal pattern with colorful gemstones. At the top is a gold bouquet with a wonderful dome set in two levels with decorations of a Menorah and Star of David, from which protrudes a matching star made with enamel work and inlaid with more gemstones. The upper portion has an inscription in large letters coated in gold: “Torah Tziva Lanu Moshe, Morasha Kehillat Yaakov.” Two clasps which match in style. Inside is a colorful layer of nice fabric. Unique, wonderful item made in Russia. 16.7kg in weight. Light defects. The star on top is bent. Overall good condition.
