Letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Yeshaya Schneebalg, Av Beit Din of Bnei Ram and father-in-law of the Admor of Toldot Avraham-Yitzhak shlita. Addressed to Rabbi Zalman Shapira, on establishing a Gemach fund in memory of his father, Rabbi David Schneebalg of Vizhnitz. 13x21cm. Written on both sides. Stains, good condition.

Rabbi Yeshaya Schneebalg (1920-2003) was the son of the Vizhnitzer Dayan, Rabbi David Schneebalg, and son-in-law (first marriage) of Admor Rabbi Shalom Eichenstein of Zidichow. He was rabbi of Bnei Ram (where he served for 25 years), and when he started he expressed that as long as he served there as a rabbi, no one would die in his youth, and IDF soldiers from the Moshav who fought at the front in the Yom Kippur War all returned alive. He was also Ra’avad of Badatz Machzikei HaDat Belz, and Beit Midrash Belz in Ramat Elchanan, Bnei Brak. He wrote Netzach Yeshaya. His sons, sons-in-law, and grandsons include the Admor of Toldot Avraham-Yitzhak shlita, Admorim of Zidichow, Bolchov, Shatz-Montreal, Rochov, and Medzhibizh.
