Shut Chemdat Shlomo, by the first Rav of Warsaw the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Lifshitz, the son of Rabbi Itzak of Posna. First Edition and In the Author’s Lifetime Warsaw, 1836. [3], 97; 117 [i.e. 118] leaves. Stefansky Sifrei Yesod p. 84 of the appendices. In the National  Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection. 

Ancient detached binding, worn and without a spine. Fine wide margins. Stains, Moth perforations. Focused moth damage, Fair-good overall condition. 

Many stamps on the title page and more: "אלעזר ליפשיץ אלעכסנדר" and on verso of the binding, a handwritten signature: "ר’ אלעזר ליפשיץ", indicating this copy was owned and used by the Chassid Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Lifshitz – the Son-in-Law of the Admor Hazaken of Alexander Rabbi Yechiel Danziger. Already as a youth was recognized as a Lamdan and Matmid. He lived for many years in the court of Alexander and was then appointed Dayan of Lodz. 

many handwritten signatures of his father: "הק’ אריה לייבוש יצחק ליפשיץ"  and in one place, an addiiton: מפיעטרקוב יע"א". Signatures:  "דובעריש ליפשיץ". "משולם ליפשיץ". "צבי יעקב בהמנוח מו"ה אלי’ זצ"ל". "אלעזר ראזענבלום".

On the second leaf, after the author’s introduction, a handwritten signature: "ה"ק מרדכי צבי הורוויץ".
