Sefer Sha’arei Binah, elucidation on Sefer Sha’arei Shvu’ot attributed to the Rif, by Rabbi Yoav Av Beit Din of Tzehlim, the son of Rabbi Yirmiya Av Beit Din of Mattersdorf. First edition – Wien, 1792/ [1], 19, 19-89, [1] leaves. The last leaf is missing, not of the text of the work. Approbations by leading contemporary rabbis including Rabbi Mordechai Bennet Av Beit Din of Nikolsburg and Morvia, the rabbis of Lviv and more.
Yellow stains on the margins and edges. Water stains. Some moth perforations. Good overall condition.
On the title page and other leaves, stamps: "נפתלי טייטלבוים אב"דקהי" ניר-באטור" –
Rabbi Naftali Teitelbaum was the son of Rabbi Yisrael Yaakov (Yokel) Teitelbaum, a descendant of the Yismach Moshe. He was a leading disciple of the Kedushat Yom Tov and a true friend of the Divrei Yoel, who fought the Zionists and renovators. Passed away in 1941 before the Holocaust reached Hungary.
On the title page: "דוד מאשקאוויטש מישקאלטץ אב"ד דק"ק באניהאד" – Rabbi David Moskovich was born in Kerestir. The son-in-law of Rabbi Yaakov Chizkiya Greenwald, the son of the Arugat Habosem of Chust. Was close to the author of the Keren Ledavid and assisted him in printing his books. On his official stationery, it was written: "לפנים אב"ד דק"ק באניהד מישקאלץ, וכעת בעי"ק ירושלים תובב"א מו"צ בעדה החרדית הע"י"
Additional notations on the title page, including "שמואל יצחק…?" "שלמה ברוך?" – have not been studied.
