Lot 54:
Nachalat Yehuda, “midrash and research writings left by … Shlomo Yehuda Hacohen Rappaport”, Av Beit Din of Prague (known as Shir, was the son-in-law of the Gaon author fo Ketzot Hachoshen. Shir himself was suspected of being a member of the Haskalah Movement (Jewish Enlightenment Movement), a subject that stirred a heated debate).
The first booklet, Ner Mitzvah and Or Torah:
Ner Mitzvah: a letter to his friend who had become a Chassid (1815), a malicious work against Chassidut.
Or Torah: Critique of the book Orschrift (1866) by Rabbi Avraham Geiger, one of the leaders of the Jewish Enlightenment Movement. The author disagrees with him on biblical matters and calls him "רשע בור ועם הארץ". Printed in Krakow 1868.
