Lot 131:
Sefer Noam Elimelech by the holy Rav Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk. Torno 1904 edition. In this rare edition, the stars were printed like they were printed in the first edition of the Noam Elimelech.
It is common knowledge that leading Chassidic rabbis attributed great, hidden Kavanot to these stars. Some said that wherever there is a star, there Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk had an Aliyat Neshama. This Torno edition is the first edition since the first one that printed the stars. Approbation by Rabbi Yechezkel Sheraga Halberstam of Shinova, who notes that the book was printed after the first edition.
Originally, [4], 109, [3] leaves. In this copy, the last leaf is missing. Dry, fragile paper. many moth perforations. Fair-poor overall condition. Restored title page. Fine new binding.
Holy book and sacred copy that was given by the Admor the holy Rav Rabbi Chaim Mordechai Rosenbaum, author of Devar Chaim of Nadvorna, who wrote, in his youth, a dedication on verso of the title page: "ספר נועם אלימלך נתתי ד"ד [דורון דרשה] להחתן החשוב המפואר כמר יצחק אלימלך ני"ו, הצעיר חיים מרדכי ראזענבוים, יום ג’ לסדר ברוך אתה, יהי ששון לפ"ק [apparently, 1921 – when Rabbeinu was 18 years old], פה טשערנאוויטץ יצ"ו". On the margins of the leaf, a partly missing stamp of his brother, the Admor the Holy Rav Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Rosenbaum of Zuhtshka. Several hanwritten glosses inside the book – have not been studied.
