Shut by Rabbeinu Meir of Rotenburg known as the Maharam of Rotenburg, one of the Rishonim from approx. 800 years ago and a leading Posek.
First edition – Prague, 1608. 2, 5-114 leaves. Indeed, beforehand, a Shut by the author was printed in Cremona; however, it was called Shut… HaArukot whereas, here different content was printed and was called by following Poskim: Shut Maharam Haktzarot.
Printed at its end, Takanot Rabbeinu Gershom Meor Hagolah and additional Takanot.
In the National Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection. Stefansky Siferi Yesod no. 264.
New binding. Blemishes and stains. Taping and restorations. Moth damage to several leaves. Good overall condition.
Ownership stamps of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Berlin. On the title page, a signature: "קנין כספי הצעיר מנחם שמואל… יכונה". Inside the book, several handwritten glosses and corrections from two periods.
