Buyer's premium:

Sha’agas Aryeh, a learned halachic work by Rabbi Aryeh Leib Ginzburg, Av Beit Din of Metz, author of the Turei Even, often named after his work. Third edition with many additions such as: a final pamphlet and indices, printed by Rabbi Shmuel Avraham ben HaRav of Slavita. 2, 90 leaves. This copy has an additional 7 rare leaves at the end, “an addition to the work Sha’agas Aryeh, two tshuvot…”. These leaves don’t appear in the pagination of copies held by the NLI (catalogued as rare) and the Bibliographic database, and were ostensibly taken from the Koenigsberg edition. The title page is also a different variant, it states “HaMeir Einai” instead of “HaManhir” in other copies.

Approbations for this edition from Lithuanian gedolim. New binding, detached sheets, worming holes and damage. Stains, overall poor condition.

The title page has faded stamps: “Yitzhak Shmuel ben Maharil Chelmer”—the Admor Rabbi Yitzhak Shmuel Chelmer, Av Beit Din of Griza, son of Rabbi Yehuda Leibush of Warsaw, a student of the Chozeh of Lublin, son-in-law of Rabbi Shimeleh Meiroslav.

The title page has faded stamps of Moshe ben Maharish Chelmer, the son of the above Rav Yitzhak Shmuel.
