Lot 31:
Miniature manuscript on parchment, fine uniform Italian script. Contains a collection of varied Techinot for women: for offspring, lighting the candles, Viduy and Seder Tvilah, against the Evil Eye and more. Some of them are rare and uncommon. At its end: "Mezuzah".
The text itself is written in square vowelized script. Between the prayers there are instructions in curly Italian script. Ca. 17th/18th century.
The text integrates the names of the women for which the copy was apparently written. Thus for example, in a prayer for a son: "… may you not forget your servant Virtuosa the daughter of Rosa …".
Several of the prayers are missing some leaves and are cut short. 44 pp. written on bright parchment leaves – 9X7 cm. Fine, original leather binding, scuffed. Gilt impression with the initials "U.S.". Some minor stains. Very good general condition.
