Second section on the Torah from Exodus and Leviticus, by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Stern (died in 1834), av Beit Din of Sighet, appointed to the rabbinate by Rabbi Meshulam Igra, served as Chief Rabbi of the Marmarosh district, and sat in the beit in of Rabbi Yaakvo of Lisa (the Netivot). A great student of the Yismach Moshe, the Maggid of Kozhnitz, the Ahavat Shalom of Kosov, who thought highly of him and wanted to appoint him Admor but he refused even after his rabbi’s death. Stefanski Chassidut 136. 50 pages. New binding. Generally good condition, stains.
