Small volume (19.5cm), printed by orphans of Shlomo Katz Propus in Amsterdam in 1744. Every two pages of this edition is one page from the normal editions, and despite what is written on the cover, Rabbeinu Asher and Piskei HaRosh were not printed in this edition. 55 pages. No moth damage, various stains, generally very good condition, wood and old leather binding. Back of the binding has a note in Sefardi handwriting: “I bought this, Yitzhak Haim ben Shlomo Haim Sangonitti—son of Rabbi Shlomo Haim Sangonitti, honored of the community and important families of Modena, supporter and student of Rabbeinu the holy Ohr HaHayyim [see Yitzhak Refael; Igrot Rav Shlomo Haim Sangonitti to Rabbeinu Haim ben Atar. Tmirin A, 1972, p. 271-286. And Sinai, journal for Torah and Jewish Studies, 70 (1972) 86-91]. On the back of the cover is a smudged stamp: “Yekutiel ben Maharam Friediger”—a rabbi of Budapest and son of a leader of the Budapest community, Gaon Rabbi Moshe Friediger (1818-1897), author of Moshe Yedaber, son of the Ra’avad Oven Yashan (Budapest) Rabbi Pinchas Leib. His children married members of the Chatam Sofer’s family.
