Small ledger with notes written by a listener of Rabbi Eliyahu Dessler's informative lectures. 40 pages in a nice, organized hand. Arranged according to date and subject, with the title (Hebrew) "Lectures of Rabbi Dessler shlit"a in Yeshiva Beit Yosef in Gateshead." The body of the ledger features lectures on various subjects such as "reward and punishment in the next world, " "spiritual and physical eye, " "Kol Nidrei, " "Gratitude, " and many other subjects, in addition to explanations of various Biblical verses. These lectures were never printed. Missing the back cover, otherwise without blemish and in fine condition. 16×10 cm. Rabbi Eliyahu Eliezer Dessler (1892-1954) was a student of Kelm and a leader of the mussar movement. He served as rabbi in England and then as mashgaich in the Ponevezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak. His profound discourses, built on tenets of mussar and chassidut, were printed in his monumental Michtav Mei'Eliyahu.
