Rabbi Isser Schorr was a student of the Slobodka yeshiva who was tragically killed during the Holocaust when the ghetto was cleansed with the enthusiastic assistance of the cursed Lithuanians who collaborated with the Nazis in 1942. Rabbi Yaakov Mordechai Varkil was from Kovno. He was the rabbi there and he moved to Eretz Israel where he served as rabbi in Ezra and Yatzron.
