Chiddushim on the Torah and Masechet Avot and a few letters, copied from the handwritten manuscript of the Admor of Gur, Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh Leib Alter (the Sfat Emet), from his chiddushim and those of his grandfather, the first Admor of Gur, Rabbi Yitzhak Meir Alter (the Chiddushei HaRim). On the back of the cover is a printed letter from Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Kotzk, sent to his student the Admor Chiddushei HaRim of Gur. The book was published by Abraham Yitzhak [Dzubas], who only hinted at his name because the book was printed without the endorsement of the family members of the Admor of Gur, who even came out in protest at the printing of the book [which indeed was never printed again], mainly because the letters printed at the end of the book included private letters. In the paper “HaModi’ah” published in Poltova, a protest was published under the title “Mecha’ah Raba” by the sons and sons-in-law of the Rahak of Gur. Rare book, not common. [2], 62 pages, 22cm. Brown paper. New leather binding with a gold imprint on the spine. Generally good condition.
