פריט 093:
The Book of Esther handwritten on parchment, written in Walish, Germany 19th century. Housed in a matching wooden housing with revolving handles for rolling up. Unique Characteristics: writing according to the Kabbalah (usually seen in scrolls in Hasidic writing) with bolding of the Holy Names – as is well known in the Book of Esther, no holy names were written at all, and in some of the verses emphasis was placed on individual letters of God’s name or pronounced at the head or end of the scroll. For more on the bolding of holy names, see more in the Siddur of the Geonim and Mekubalim (Rabbi Moshe Yair Weinstock, Jerusalem 1981, Vol. 17). 12 columns, 33 lines per column. Parchment: 38.5cm high. Height of writing: 31 cm. Height of housing: 53 cm. Minor stains and imperfections. Good general condition. Is not sold as kosher.
