Sent to Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Shatzdorovsky on various issues: one written on a postcard and sent from Antwerp, Belgium, two others on letterhead of the Admor. Mazal tov for the marriage of the Rav’s son, one on the salary for the Admor’s son, and a Yishar Koach for the good that the recipient had done for him.

Admor Rabbi Nachman Kahane of Spinka (1905-1977) was the son of Admor Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Kahane hy”d of Spinka, son-in-law of his uncle Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Vishurun Rubin, the Admor of Solitzia. He served as rabbi of Carlsberg. After he was saved from the Shoah he served as a dayan in Klausenberg and worked to free agunot. He moved to Israel, was rabbi of Bnei Ram, and then moved to Bnei Brak, opened a beit midrash there, served as Admor of Spinka, and was known for his righteousness and sagacity. His son and successor, Admor of Spinka Kahane, Rabbi Moshe Elyakim Briya Kahane.

Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Shatzdorovsky (1907-1978) was a rabbi of Bialystock and head of Agudat Yisrael in Israel, a descendant of a family of Admorim and important chassidim of Modzhitz, was also the father-in-law of Admorim of Modzhitz and Biala. He was a lively and active rabbi who is not as well-known as he deserves, he worked during the Shoah and after in saving and helping survivors to recover.
