Official postcard from the week of Tetzaveh, 1927, notifying the recipient of the publication of his new book, with “memories, stories, and haggadot about the ancestors of my family, the Polish King Rabbi Shaul Wahel based on many ancient and new sources which were recently discovered. At the end is a family tree with the descendants of the above rabbi…”. The rabbi includes the price and other technical details. Size 9x14cm. Light stains, on the back of the page is the recipient’s name in the local language, generally good condition.
The recipient of the letter Rabbi Menachem Mendel Babad, rabbi of Gora-Homoroloy (Bukovina). A descendent of Rabbi Yosef Babad, the Minchas Chinuch, appointed over Chassidei Chortkov, known as a great talmid chacham who was in regular correspondence with greats of his generation. Died in 1930.
