Separate cover for each book. Most are first editions, all printed in Warsaw 1924. 1. Niflaot HaShem, deeds of the Ma’aseh Nora during the lifetime of the Maharsha in Ostraha. Also on the Vilna Gaon and some students of the Ba’al Shem Tov. Second edition. 2. Gevurat HaTzaddikim, deeds of Rabbi Shimon of Vienna, Rabbi Yehiel of Paris, and Rabbi Mordechai Bennett and some Tanaim and Chassidic sages, first edition. 3. Gevurat Israel, stories about Eliyahu HaNavi and the Rambam and Ba’al Shem Tov, and some of his students. First edition. 4. Niflaot Yisrael, deeds of the Rebbe of Ruzhin and his sons. Rare—doesn’t appear in bibliographic lists. 5. Tzedakat HaTzaddikim, deeds of Chassidic sages, Rabbi Akiva Eger and more, first edition. Old binding, worn leather spine, gold inscriptions on the binding: “Meir Leivish Fichtman Leipzig.” Stains and light tears, small tear in the margins of the first cover, generally good condition. Covers have and important stamp of ownership: “Haim Alter Paneth, Rabbi in Sheikh Munis, Tel Aviv.” Rabbi Haim Alter Paneth (1913-1984) was rabbi of Onya in Transylvania. Son of Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Paneth, rabbi of Karlsburg and a descendent of the Mareh Yehezkel. After his immigration to Israel in 1951 he served as rabbi of the Ramat Aviv and Sheikh Munis neighborhood of Tel Aviv. Authored a number of works: Asisut Haim on the Rambam, Tapuchei Haim on Masechet Avot, Tapuchei Haim on the Pesach Haggadah, and Tapuchei Haim on the te’amim of the Mikrah.
