Yossef Keisari (1894-1963) was born in Jaffa, was a lawyer in Israel during the Yishuv period and then during the early state period, who represented more than 50 murder cases. His father was the agronomist Natan Kaiserman, a well-known public figure and manager of the Anglo-Palestine bank branch in Haifa. In 1934 Keisari (then still known as Kaiserman), alongside Horace Samuel, the chief defence attorney, Abraham Stavsky, in the trial for the murder of Arlozorov, which took place in the felony court in Jerusalem. From 1934 Keisari was also the first head of the Rotary Club in Haifa and led the Bar Association of Haifa as well. He was a member of the Central Committee of the Attorney Histadrut, the body which predated the Israeli Bar Association of today. From 1954-56 he was the Israeli Ambassador to Mexico and non-resident contact for a number of states in Central America.
