On the leaves of the book, two stamps of Rabbi "Shnuer Zalman Schneer Sohn" with an Arabic and English notation.

Rabbi Shneur Zalman Schneersohn (ca. 1831-1882) Gaon, the great-grandson of the Admor Hazaken Ba’al Hatany, one of the leaders of the Chabad community of Jerusalem, the manager of Kollel Chabad and Shadar of its behalf. Author of Nimukei Shazbani, Chamdah Gnuzah and Zichron Yerushalayim. Worked as proofreader of the famed printery of Rabbi Yisrael Bak in Jerusalem. Purchased the Chida’s library and was famed for his painting talent, which he used as a Shadar to describe the holy places of Eretz Yisrael to the philanthropists he met.
