Ateret Rosh by the Mitteler Rebbe with a Stamp of the Ari Synagogue of Detroit - Johannesberg? 1860?

The auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: $50

Buyer's premium:

Sefer Ateret Rosh, on Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur and Malchuyot, Zichronot and Shofarot and more,   by the Mitteler Rebbe, Rabbi Dov Ber Schneersohn, the son of the Admor Hazaken.

The title page is missing. Apparently printed in Johannesberg in 1860. 7, [1], 8-31, 33-68, [1]-70 leaves. A slightly different variant, the last two leaves being repaginated and the printer’s name and place of printing being omitted.

The first leaf is restored, affecting the text. New binding. Good overall condition.

On the first leaf, a blurred stamp: "The Synagogue per the Ari custom founded in 1907 Detroit, Michigan" – apparently the Ari synagogue of Lubavitch in Detroit, Michigan, which the Rebbe Rayatz visited during his famed trip to Detroit in 1930.

On leaf 3, an ancient signature: "Yehuda Weissman?"
