Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah, section V, and at its end "required Halachot compiled from Tur Choshen Mishpat" (additional title page) by the Admor Hazaken. With title pages like those of the Stettin (Printed in Warsaw) 1867 edition. 114, 28 leaves.
Old binding, leather spine. Some moth perforations and moth damage. Stains. Fair-good overall condition.
On the back flyleaf, Torah novellae handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Berlin. – Rabbi Chaim Berlin of Volozhin was the son of the Natziv. He served as Chief Rabbi of Moscow, and as the Rosh Yeshiva of the most famous yeshiva in the world, the Volozhin yeshiva (known as the Mother of Yeshivot). In 1906 he immigrated to Jerusalem, and after the passing of Rabbi Shmuel of Salant he became leader of the Ashkenazi Eida in Jerusalem, even though he refused the official position.
