“Kerem Chabad” was the crowning achievement of the Chassidic researcher and librarian Rabbi Yehoshua Mondschein. Upon the sending of the first issue, the Rebbe responded “the attached was received with approbation”. Each section dealt with one central issue—the first on the Admor Moharash, the second on the Tzemach Tzedek, the third on the Admor Rashab and the yeshivot Tomchei Temimim, the fourth, in two sections, on the Admor HaZaken and the affair of his imprisonment.
Issues aroused great interest and controversy in the Hasidic world and beyond.
