Likkutei Amarim of the Admor HaZaken, Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liady, printed in a special edition with a bibliographic section and facsimiles of earlier editions of the Tanya over the ages until this printing, to celebrate the 80th birthday of the Rebbe, on the 11th of Nissan. New York 1982. Overall very good condition.
On the 11th of Nissan 1982, close to the end of the Hitva’adut, the Rebbe announced (Hitva’adut 1982, Vol. 3, p. 1245) that a sefer HaTanya would be given out (a special edition in which were printed the “title pages” of the Tanyas that had been printed before), as well as dollar bills, to each and every participant of the hitva’adut, as a symbol of thanks to the participants. After the hitva’adut the gifting began and took until the next morning’s early hours.
