Lot 035:
Chiddushim and exegeses on the Shas and Shulchan Aruch by Rabbi Avraham Zvi Brodna (1850-1936), a great Chabad rabbi in his generation. He was certified for teaching by Rabbi Yitzhak Elchanan Spector and was a great chassid of the Tzemach Tzedek of Lubavitch, and also authored many of his own books characterized by Chabad chassidus, the most well-known of which are Likkutim Betu’m and the Kitzur Tanya. Only edition, printed by Zuckerman in Jerusalem 1926. [8], 164, 56 pages. Printed (original) binding, worn, the spine is partially detached. Tears in the binding of the first leaves to the spine, no damage to text. Overall good condition.
The blank first page (detached from the book) has a dedication handwritten by the author: “I am honored to send this to my dear friend…this book…may he be blessed with the blessing of Avraham – the author”. Page 21 has a note handwritten in pen: “from the community of Satmar, shlita.”
