The first Tanya printed in Israel, published “by the World Agudas Chassidei Chabad, brought to the publisher by Pinchas bar Binyamin Althaus.” After the first title page are names of the “Vaad Tanya Printing”: Rabbi Eliezer Karsik, Rabbi Pinchas Althaus, Rabbi Moshe Gur Aryeh, Rabbi Naftali Dolitzky, and Rabbi David Khanzin. Regarding the printing of this edition, the Rayatz sent a special letter to the Va’ad expressing his thanks for this “new and handsome printing”, with blessings for them all.

Original binding with inscription in the center and on the spine: “Tanya.” See Mondschein bibliography of the Tanya, Note 40, where he refers readers to additional sources. Tanya printing #46. Many notes and marks of emphasis in pen throughout the book. One leaf is detached. Light stains and defects. Overall good condition.
