Throughout the book are two types of ownership stamps of the “Beit Midrash HaGadol of Mastrich,” (different picture of the Beit Midrash for each stamp)

The book is accompanied by a an interesting endorsement by the Chief Rabbi of Berlin, Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Levin - First Edition Berlin, 1797. 128 [1] pages. Includes table of errors, missing some charts. Moth damage. Old binding worn detached. General condition moderate. 2. Rare German Hebrew Dictionary - Berlin 1837. [4], 604 pp. Partially detached sheets Good condition 3. Yeriyat Shlomo, an exegesis on synonyms in Hebrew, and wordplay, by Rabbi Shlomo Papenheim (1740-1814), a dayan in the City of Breslau, Linguist and Hebrew Poet - First Edition Diehrenport 1784. 11 [supposed to be 13], [2], 122 page. 1. Kra Mikra by Rabbi Meir ben Rabbi Khalifa Bikiyam. 16 pages. Signatures and stamp of ownership. Binding partially detached, generally good condition. 2. Yesharesh Yaakov by Rabbi Haim Abulafia, with the work Be’er L’Chai by Rabbi Yitzhak Nissim ben Gamil, signature of ownership of Rav Chezekaya Belul, a sage of Jerusalem who signed a letter from the leaders of the community in 1787. Moth holes on the cover. New binding, pages unnumbered, generally good condition.

Chiddushim on masechet nazir, by Rabbi Yochanan Kremnitzer, who awoke to write this essay because he saw that there were almost no books written on Masechet Nazir and it hardly ever went through glosses. His book has been reprinted several times as a book in its own right and since then has been printed in the Vilna Shas printed by the Ram widow and sons. First Edition Berlin 1936. Cover page and page after missing. 44, 8, 3-6 [pages 1-2 at the end are missing] pages. Moth damage and tears on some pages. Most pages are in good condition. Time stains. Adhesive. Ok - good condition. Inside the binding are old notes dating from the early 1840s, in our estimation, this is a writer of stature. Not investigated at all. There may be a connection to the author of the book. Ancient ownership inscription: ".... The publisher is exalted by Rabbi Moshe .... MK ..." Signatures of Rabbi Haim Schwartz, who donated the book to the Yeshiva scholars of Lublin.

Old interesting signature on the cover, with additional notes handwritten on the last page (not checked thoroughly). Moth damage at the end of the book. Simple binding, generally good condition. 2. Sha’arei Chochmah and Sha’arei Yireh, guidelines on the Talmud by Rabbi Elazar the “Shemen Rokach” and more books, first edition Prague 1807. Tears with missing bits on the cover, tape, moth damage and light stains. Generally good condition. Old, worn binding. 3. Sha’ar HaMizrach, Sefer HaMizrachi, and Sefer Ma’aravi, kitzur HaMizrachi on Rashi and Tosefet Yishuv Kushiyotav of the Ram on Rashi, by Rabbi Avraham Stern of Plezen—first edition, 1793. Generally very good condition. Self-dedication on the cover: ‘I was honored to receive this from the author, Yehuda Leib…[?]’. Given by the author, who died 2 years after the book was printed. 2. Chazon LaMoed from the Raf, first section, drashot on mo’adim—first edition Prague 1824. Thick, high quality paper. [2], 32 pages. Generally very good condition. Page 2 has a handwritten correction by the author himself. On the back of the bindings are taped printed pages on Mishnayot of Orla and Bikkurim with the commentaries of the Rambam and the Rosh. 3. Olat Chodesh, first section from Mili d’Shmaya. Drashot. First edition, Prague 1785. [13], 106 pages. Tape on the first three pages. Generally very good condition. Original binding is worn. Gaon Rabbi Elazar Pleklas (1754-1826) was the son of Rabbi David, a descendent of the Maharal of Prague, and Rabbi Heschel of Krakow. Student of Rabbi Yehezkel Landau (the Noda B’Yehuda), and head of the Prague Beit Din at the time. Known as the Tshuva M’Ahava, and known for these books and more.

This edition was printed in a small format, and in order to make it easier to learn, each page from the original is spread over two pages here. Much work and repaging of the Talmud was necessary. The tops of the pages have doubled numbering (the original and this edition’s). Special cover for Rav Elfas. 1770. No binding. Father-in-law of the Maharit Elgazi, who gave his endorsement to this book. He met Rabbi Chaim Ben Atar, the "Or Haim" and immigrated with him to Jerusalem, which is mentioned in the copy before us in a handwritten inscription signed by Rabbi David Tzabach (1869-1956), author of "Shoshanim L’David" - Livorno, 1792. Da’at Zkeinim by the Tosafot according to Rashi on the Torah, with the work Minchas Yehuda by Rabbi Yehuda bar Eliezer, “Until now we have not been discovered in light of the print ... ". 1. Atzei Almogim, on laws of netilat yadayim and laws of eiruvei chatzerot and more, by Rabbi Haim Zvi Hirsch Berlin—partially missing copy, first edition. 1779. [2], 226 [original: 254] page. Tape on the cover, page 3 is torn and partially missing, stains on page 2. Other than that, generally very good condition. New binding. 2. Sha’ar Ephraim, Shot by Rabbi Ephraim HaKohen of Vilna—first edition, 1688. Torn cover with tape, moth holes, tears and various stains. Generally ok condition. New binding with light defects. 3. Edot B’Yehosef, question and answers by Rabbi Yosef Almoshnino, first section, first edition, Constantinople 1711. Pages disconnected. Old binding, disconnected with no spine. Shot Maharam di Boton, questions and answers on the Ba’al HaTurim, by Rabbi Meir ben Rabbi Avraham di Boton, brought to the publisher by his son=in-law and student, Rabbi Yishay Almuli—first edition 1660. Cover bears a signature of ownership of Israel Menachem Adato (probably the handwriting of Rabbi Yisrael Adato, a sage of Edirne (Adrianople) at the beginning of the 17th century—mentioned in note 41 of this book. See more about him in the Encyclopedia of Turkish Sages and Arzei HaLevanon. Additional signatures of Shlomo bar Shmuel Shapmi (probably Rabbi Shlomo Shapmi, a sage of Constantinople from 1740-1760). Pamphlet to fill in gaps in the Shas printed in the new printing with Rashi and Tosafot, old Tosafot and additions of the Rosh, kitzur psakei haRosh and the commentary of the Rambam, and all psaks of Tosafot from Avoda Zara, with glosses relating to them. Brought from an old Shas (Yashan Noshan) printed without anything missing. First edition of the supplement to fill in what was removed by the various censorships of the Shas at that time. No author, hints at his name in the end of the introduction as “Asher”, but no other details are known about him. The place and year of printing are also omitted so as not to fall afoul of the censor. Before us is a pamphlet that first concentrated all the omissions that were known until then and was actually the first to complete the Shas from all the different editions that started appearing at the time. 108, 36 pages. 18 cm. Overall good-very good condition, little bit missing on the last 2 pages. New binding. Stamps of ownership of Rabbi Menachem Zvi Eichenstein, a rabbi in St. Louis, son of Rabbi Avraham, the Admor of Zidichev in Chicago.

Talmud printed according to the first publication of Daniel Bombirgi in Venice, with different versions/words included, and German translation around the Hebrew. Published by Binyamin Hertz. 10 volumes including 8 sections (sections 7-8 are divided into 2 volumes each), out of 9 known ones. Defects to binding. Stains and defects. Apart from that generally very good condition. 31cm. Heavy weight due to page quality. Translator Eliezer [Lazarus] Goldschmidt [(1871-1950), a Jewish-Lithuanian scholar and orientalist, studied in his youth at the Knesset Yisrael yeshiva in Slabodka and translated many books into German. This work of translating the Talmud into German was fiercely criticized by Rabbi David Zvi Hoffman shortly after it was published. Goldschmidt replied to him in his essay, "The Criticism of Lord R. D. Hoffman on My Talmud Edition in the Light of Truth." The translation was done throughout the Shas except for part of Kedoshim and Taharot. It is accepted that this is the authorized version of the Talmud in the German language to this day

Minor flaws are restored on the title page, the first pages have minor tears at the bottom of the pages, in one place with very minor damage to the text. Released when the author was only 22 years old, with halachot of tefildlin, with a drasha for a bar mitzvah in Hebrew and Persian (Judeo-Bukharian to be precise). Published under his father’s name (Haim Mendeleev), when he was sent from Jerusalem to Samarkand (Uzbekistan) as a shaliach, where he served for two years while wearing the clothing of the Jews of Bukhara. 56 pages. Generally good condition. Original binding is a little worn. Rabbi Avraham Haim Na’eh (1890-1953), the Ba’al HaShiurim, was born in Hevron to Rabbi Menachem Mendel, an important Chabad Chassid. When he returned from Samarkand he served as a rabbi for many years in the Bukhari Quarter of Jerusalem. A great posekk in Jerusalem and important Chabad chassid.

Machzor for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, sefard nusach, published by the Joint, Munich 1949. Front binding a little defective, the back binding is torn. No spine. Apart from that, good condition. Safek Dikduk for students with exercises and readings, first section, by Moshe Breitbart, printed for the Culture Department of the Central Committee of Released Jews in the American Occupation Zone and the Joint. Generally like new condition. Seems not to have been used at all. 4. (4-6), three sections of Der Torah Kvol, in Yiddish, by Rabbi Alexander Zusha Friedman, hy”d, dedicated in his memory at the beginning. Mesorah Publishing 1948. Masechet Avot with commentary Sfat Emet, printed in Landsberg 1948 by Chassidei Gur, dedicated to help survivors reach peace and geulah and move to Israel to the Admor of Gur in Jerusalem. The Imrei Emet died that same year, such that these Chassidim’s wish that people be reunited with the Admor in Jerusalem could not occur. Binding disconnected somewhat, generally good condition. 7.
