Machzor for the Three Pilgrimage Festivals – Slavita, 1823

Machzor - Part II, for all three pilgrimage festivals. Nusach Ashkenaz. “With an interpretation in the holy tongue and the Ashkenaz tongue (Yiddish)”. Part of the wording on the cover is printed in red ink. The whole of the book is printed on paper with a bluish hue. In the print of Rabbi Moshe Shapira (whom Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi describes as: “The great, famous and pious Rabbi and Torah scholar) – Rabbi of Slavita and son of the Holy Rabbi Pinchas of Koretz, for the books that were printed in the template of Slavita, are known to be of unique holiness, the printing tool and letters were soaked in the mikve before the printing begun. It is well known that possessing a book printed in the print of Slavita brings about virtues of success and protection of the home. 24 “cm. Binding is half leather. Stickers reinforce the cover and several pages. Minor moth holes. The book is complete in its entirety. Overall condition: Good-Very Good.

Shulchan Aruchpart Orech Chaim. Print of Our Master, Teacher and Rabbi Moshe Shapira of Slavita. With approval from the owner of ‘Ohev Yisrael’. With a copy of a ‘bill of sale’ which was given to Rabbi Moshe Shapira by the printer from Sudilkov. The copy, which belonged to Rabbi Shmuel Salant was in his possession for most of his life and from it, taught Halachot to his disciples. Ownership inscriptions and signature. The Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Salant(1816-1909), The acclaimed Rabbi of Jerusalem for over 70 years, and the leader of all Ashkenazi sects in Israel. Became a famous Gaon and prodigy, already in his youth, At the age of bar mitzva he received a letter from his rabbi Aveli concerning a complicated divorce matter; it is evident that his rabbi trusted him as an outstanding Torah scholar even then.He Studied in the town of Salant with his friend the Gaon Rabbi Israel Salant. He immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1841, to serve as teacher and rabbi of the "Prushim", disciples of Hagra, who lived in Jerusalem. Founded education and charity institutes in the city, founded a Beit Din and strengthened the Ashkenazi congregation. Known for his genial intelligence. Vol. of a Babylonian Talmud – Zhitomir. The copy having belonged to the Holy Rabbi Yisrael Aharon of Peshischa.

Nida Tractate – From a Babylonian Talmud. Zhitomir, 1861. With the ownership stamp of “The Holy Yisrael Aharon Padwa of Peshischa. Bound with an original leather binding and adorned with gold minting. Two covers printed with black and red ink. At the end of the Vol. there is ‘Meir Nativ’ for Rabi Shabtai HaCohen. It is known that the ‘ChazonIsh’ was fond of the use of Mehadrot Shas Zhitomir, because of the composition ‘Meir Nativ’ which does not appear in other Mehadrot. Rabbi Yisrael Aharon Padwa of Peshischa descended from the dynasty of nishchis. And was the son-in-law of Rabi Yerachmiel Yehuda Meir of Peshischa, son-in-law of Rabi Ya’akov David of Amshinov. He took the place of his son-in-law in Peschischa, after taking his place in Opotoshana. Died of injuries sustained during the pogroms of 1914. The books printed in Slavita and Zhitomir print, are known to possess a unique holiness, the tool and letters used to print the books were soaked in the mikve before printing begun. Volumes of ‘Shas Zhitomir’ (Tractates: Berachot, Shavu’ot, Yevamot, Ketubot, Makot Menachot, Bechorot, Temura, Arachin, Kritut, Me’ilah, Hulin, Oz, Horayot and Masechot Ketanot). (1) Additional volume of Berachot tractate, of which only the cover is printed by Zhitomir, the Gmara itself is of a different print. An important and highly demanded edition of the Shas. Bound in original and magnificent binding. With ownership signatures. Of the Shapira family of Slavita printing house, which closed as a result of a complaint and reopened anew in the city of Zhitomir in 1847 by the grandson of the Slavita Rabbi, Rabbi Chanina Lipa and Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel Shapira and was in business until 1864. In this printing house, editions of Shas were printed for the third time, including Rabeinu Asher, Moreinu Harav Rabi Shmuel Eideless, Rabbi Yitzhak Alphasi, commentary by Haran and many other additions.At the start of every Vol. there are two cover page, part of them, prtinted in red ink. There are also cover pages at the start of every tractate. The style of the page is of the most magnificent that could be seen until that time period. At the end of the Shas Vol. the composition ‘Meir Nativ’ for Rabi ShabtaiHa Cohen was added to some of the tractates. Sefer Or Zarua 2 sections. Contains judicial laws and questions and answered by Isaac ben Moses of Vienna. Zhitomir – 1862. ח״א:2 232:4. 184 words. An additional cover page for the second section. The name of the book is printed in red ink on both covers. The author, among the first of the Great Rabbis, Rabbi of Rabbi Meir of Rotenberg. The manuscript of the book was owned by Rabbi Tzviwho inherited it from Aharon of Amsterdam, who originally inherited it from a fisherman in Paris. According to legend, the fisherman was found on the shore after the ship in which the manuscript was held, sunk in the deep sea. With agreements by the owner of Chidushey Harim and more.. Moth holes.
