In the print of Rabbi Moshe Shapira (whom Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi describes as: “The great, famous and pious Rabbi and Torah scholar) – Rabbi of Slavita and son of the Holy Rabbi Pinchas of Koretz, for the books that were printed in the template of Slavita, are known to be of unique holiness, the printing tool and letters were soaked in the mikve before the printing begun. It is well known that possessing a book printed in the print of Slavita brings about virtues of success and protection of the home. 24 “cm. Binding is half leather. Shulchan Aruchpart Orech Chaim. Print of Our Master, Teacher and Rabbi Moshe Shapira of Slavita. With approval from the owner of ‘Ohev Yisrael’. With a copy of a ‘bill of sale’ which was given to Rabbi Moshe Shapira by the printer from Sudilkov. The copy, which belonged to Rabbi Shmuel Salant was in his possession for most of his life and from it, taught Halachot to his disciples. Ownership inscriptions and signature. The Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Salant(1816-1909), The acclaimed Rabbi of Jerusalem for over 70 years, and the leader of all Ashkenazi sects in Israel. Became a famous Gaon and prodigy, already in his youth, At the age of bar mitzva he received a letter from his rabbi Aveli concerning a complicated divorce matter; it is evident that his rabbi trusted him as an outstanding Torah scholar even then.He Studied in the town of Salant with his friend the Gaon Rabbi Israel Salant. He immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1841, to serve as teacher and rabbi of the "Prushim", disciples of Hagra, who lived in Jerusalem. Founded education and charity institutes in the city, founded a Beit Din and strengthened the Ashkenazi congregation. Known for his genial intelligence. Nedarim Tractate is missing the title page and the first leaf, owners’ notes and signatures. The Gemaras are bound together with old leather binding, slightly damaged in the margin, moth holes, moisture and other stains. Overall good – fair condition.

Paper has a bluish, greenish hue. Sized 34 “cm. Ownership inscriptions. At the end of the Vol. there are duplicate pages from 8 sections of LeHarambam, as well as small halachot in a different format. The Gmaras are bound together with leather binding, margins are damaged and the spine is somewhat lacking. The cover and a few pages are detached, moth holes, overall fair condition.

The binding is glued to a piece of cloth on the cover page and back page with minor damage to the back page, moth holes with slight damage to the text, stains, overall fair condition.

Sha’ar Lemasechet Gitin, a Talmudic learned and rare Tractate. Printed by Rabi Moshe Shapira, Slavita 1819. The front cover has an unprofessionally restored margin with slight damage to the text in its lower section. Tears, minor moth holes. Overall fair condition.

Nida Tractate – From a Babylonian Talmud. Zhitomir, 1861. With the ownership stamp of “The Holy Yisrael Aharon Padwa of Peshischa. Bound with an original leather binding and adorned with gold minting. Two covers printed with black and red ink. At the end of the Vol. there is ‘Meir Nativ’ for Rabi Shabtai HaCohen. It is known that the ‘ChazonIsh’ was fond of the use of Mehadrot Shas Zhitomir, because of the composition ‘Meir Nativ’ which does not appear in other Mehadrot. Rabbi Yisrael Aharon Padwa of Peshischa descended from the dynasty of nishchis. And was the son-in-law of Rabi Yerachmiel Yehuda Meir of Peshischa, son-in-law of Rabi Ya’akov David of Amshinov. He took the place of his son-in-law in Peschischa, after taking his place in Opotoshana. Died of injuries sustained during the pogroms of 1914. The books printed in Slavita and Zhitomir print, are known to possess a unique holiness, the tool and letters used to print the books were soaked in the mikve before printing begun. Printed by the grandsons of the Rabbi of Slavita, Rabbi Chanina Lipa and Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel Shapira, Zhitomir – 1859. Moisture and other stains. Several pages in the middle of the book are slightly damaged and are unprofessionally restored with slight damage to the text. Some mold marks on the back cover. Overall good condition.

The name of the book is printed in red ink on both covers. The author, among the first of the Great Rabbis, Rabbi of Rabbi Meir of Rotenberg. The manuscript of the book was owned by Rabbi Tzviwho inherited it from Aharon of Amsterdam, who originally inherited it from a fisherman in Paris. According to legend, the fisherman was found on the shore after the ship in which the manuscript was held, sunk in the deep sea. With agreements by the owner of Chidushey Harim and more.. Moth holes.
