Handsome cover for a sefer torah, in gold and silver embroidery. Beginning of the 20th century.
Wonderful cover from Morocco with gold and silver thread. Decorated with various shapes, floral patterns, and more. Brought from Morocco in the beginning of the 20th century and lent for a period to the Israel Museum and displayed there in Jerusalem (see accompanying letter). On the cover is an embroidered dedication in the upper portion “donated by Rav Baruch Tov Meir and his wife Solish.” 87x60cm. Light defects, generally preserved and in good condition.
