Printed by Zanito Zanetti. The cover page says printed 1607, but in the colophon is written “all the work was paid, 1608…” 180, 2, 17 page. 29.5cm. Missing a page in Parshat Ki Tavo-Nitzavim. By Johannes Buchstorf, cover and introductions in Latin. Includes a Hebrew cover at the end of the book, “Concordantiae on Daniel and Ezra.” At the end is a table of parshiyot printed colophon: “printed in Basel as a mitzvah of the blessed Lord in 1630” (although in practice it was printed two years later). Thick tome, especially large (41cm). Original parchment binding is a little defective, cover and first pages are a little defective in the margins, stains from moisture, moth marks (a few), generally good condition.

11 lines per column. Height of the parchment: 11.5cm. The housing: 27cm. Nice writing, stains from moisture with a little smudging of ink in the first part of the megillah. Crack in the housing, the handle in the bottom is broken and missing. Generally ok condition.

Sefer Torah written by hand on parchment. Romania, end of the 19th century.

Brought to Israel after WWII by the Union of Romanian Communities by Rav David Moshe Rosen. He was the Kollel Rav of Dat Moshe and was crowned in the Coral Synagogue in Bucharest on 20 July, 1948 as part of his activity with the Zionist representatives. In 1964 they brought a number of sifrei Torah together with the Joint Committee and divided them among synagogues in Israel. This was donated by the Ministry for Religious Affairs and the Joint Committee in 1967. Nice writing, a little smudging in parts of the book, size 47.5cm, uniform and complete writing. Not sold as kosher!!
