Sefer Torah written on cow parchment. Italy, seemingly 18th century.
With cursive letters throughout the book, on red/brown animal parchment, a huge animal. According to the shape of the letters (the loopy pey and tet, and some of the deep letters), this seems to have been written in Italy 250-300 years ago. Size of the parchment: 40cm, 42 lines per column, height of the box: 54cm. Diameter: 24cm. Given in a case from a later period, made of wood. Around the case is ANLAW work with an inscription of “VeZot HaTorah”. Generally good condition. Not sold as kosher! From a private collection.
