Handwritten and signed letter by the Tzaddik of Warsaw, Rabbi Haim Yaakov Naftali Zilberberg.

Letter to the Rabbi of Jerusalem, Rabbi Yosef Haim Zonenfeld, on the issue of tzedakah money from 1912. Rabbi Haim Yaakov Naftali Zilberberg was also nicknamed Naftali Virshover (1850-1930). He was a teacher in Warsaw, known as an exponent of the books of the Maharal. Born in Poland, son of Rabbi Avraham Binyamin Beinish Zilberberg, rabbi and Av Beit Din of Kotna and Virshov. Was a student of Rabbi Yisrael Salanter and Rabbi Yosef Dov Soloveitchik of Brisk. Was close to the Natziv of Volozhin and the Chafetz Haim, and also travelled to Rabbi Avraham Burnstein of Sochotchov and to the Admor the Sfat Emet of Gur. Over many years he served as the Moreh Tzedek of Warsaw. Page 21.5x28cm, 12 handwritten lines and his signature, on letterhead of Yoel Wegmeister, a head of the Jewish community in Warsaw. Filing marks, generally very good condition.
