A warm and special letter of recommendation written entirely in the handwriting and with the signature of Rabbi Aharon Kotler, Rosh Yeshiva of the Lakewood yeshiva
A letter on the official letterhead of the ‘Beis Midrash Gevoha of America’, written entirely in the handwriting and with the signature of the rosh yeshiva of the Lakewood yeshiva Rabbi Aharon Kotler. In the letter that is dated Wednesday Vayetzei 1955 to the roshei yeshiva in the Land of Israel, the rosh yeshiva recommends his student Rabbi Mordechai Moshe Karfman. He expounds about the good qualities of this student at length and pleasantly and asks the rabbis “to receive him pleasantly and to draw him close in the place he wants to study” and ends “The one who writes and signs for the honor of the Torah and those who study it…” and his handwritten signature. A single leaf written on one side. 28*21.5 cm. Enclosed is the original envelope printed with the name of Rabbi Aharon Kotler in English. Folding marks. Tears on the envelope.
